To the floor

imageNebraska Senator Deb Fischer took to the floor of the U.S. Senate yesterday and called on the Administration, and every American, to take a stand against ISIL.

And she concluded her speech with this:

Find someone with whom you deeply disagree, and let them know you value them.

Seek that person out.

Tell them you respect them for who they are, regardless of your deeply-held differences.

We can do this at work or at home, in the grocery store or at the doctor’s office.

In our day-to-day lives, we can deliver a direct challenge to radical Islamists.

By treating each other with dignity and respect, we can play our part in responding to this tragedy.

Basic human rights, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, and freedom of assembly are endowed to all of us.

Powerful words and a powerful idea as Americans.

Boom roasted

In response to some of the 2nd Amendment deniers, Senator Ben Sasse too a shot at a recent loudmouth on the Twitter:

It’s a nice little shut-em-up, for the time being.

Once again I have to remind the rightys and people like Bacon that ISIS or ISIL or whatever is not a threat to America.
Most of the time the crazies with assault weapons Fischer wants people to carry do stupid stuff than afterwords claim they did it for ISIL.
ISIS, like Ernie says, has never killed anybody in Nebraska, but people with easy access to guns sure kill each other a lot.
The real solution is handgun restrictions and plenty of them, not just allow assault weapons galore then pray for the dead afterwards, which is the GOP playbook.

Ricky who has probably never served a day in his life and who certainly is not privy to the information the Senator and General are, wants us to believe he knows what is best for national security. If it is up to Ricky, we will be slaves to the radicals within a few years. What an arrogant ignorant he is. RFLMBO

Ricky Ricky saaaaaaave us. Ricky, the super hero, where is he when we need him? He must be hiding in the closet again!

What happened in Paris Ricky? If you think those folks don’t want to do this in the U.S. you’re fooling yourself. We have a both-and problem, home-grown, homicidal maniacs AND Daesh terrorists. One has already struck many times and the other dearly wants to one-up Al Qaeda.

Gun control laws worked great in Paris. Criminals and terrorists – by definition – don’t obey the law.

Y’all is a contraction of you all, not ya will. Although some mistakenly write ya’ll, it’s worse than a typo for those in the know…

If you are at the Dem party convention I would like it if you would offer a motion that the US send food aide to Venezuela. The economy has collapsed. People are starving. Something to do with socialism.

Ricky. What stupid dick head you are. Assault weapons are not purchasable since the 1930s. The weapons being called “assault weapons” by increadibly stupid Left wingers, are not assault weapons, they aren’t machine guns. They aren’t machine guns. They aren’t machine guns. You idiot.
